Registration Process
The standard duration for a session typically spans approximately six weeks. It is important to note that this is an estimate based on the average time it takes most children to learn these survival skills. Each child is unique, and factors such as their age, prior water experience, comfort level, and individual progress play a role. ISR prioritizes a child's ability to self-rescue in a water emergency, and the duration of training is tailored to the child's place of learning and mastery of skills.
The registration process for ISR Self-Rescue Lessons is as follows:
1. We kindly ask that you begin by thoroughly reviewing the website's FAQ section to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the program, if you have not already done so.
2. Fill out the Contact Us form down below after you fully understand the commitment and are interested in enrolling your child. Please note that our typical response time is 24-48 hours.
3. If a time slot become available, the instructor will contact you to discuss the start date and determine the most suitable time slot.
4. One month prior to the start date, you will be provided a link to complete the National ISR Registration form.
5. Upon approval of the registration form by the RET (Registration Evaluation Team), a confirmation email will be sent to confirm the start date, time slot, and location. You will also receive the Parent Resource Book. This guide is full of useful information about what to bring to lessons, what to expect, as well as information about creating a safe aquatic environment for your family. Understanding the program is vital to your child's performance.
